Review of Asian Paints Royale Matt – A Great Paintings and Matt Stickley
This is a review of the new Asian Paints Royale Matt detail set, which is described as a Marvel vs. Japanese Art Deco painting. As you might guess from the title, the painting is taken from the movie and is available for both fans of the film and Marvel lovers alike. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Asian Inspired designs and this is the first time that I’ve seen a Matt Stickley painting that I’ve enjoyed. I’m not entirely sure what the appeal of this painting is but it does have its own unique charm that may appeal to a number of different people. I’ll tell you why in a moment.
The artwork in the Asian Pains Royale Matt details is nothing compared to some of Stickley’s previous work but it still has a fantastic feel to it. There are strong influences of Japanese and Chinese art as well as African and Australian styles. The painting isn’t anything overly extravagant but there is enough here to make it really pop out as an original piece. The price tag of the painting is a bit on the high side for my tastes but if you’re willing to pay that much then I suppose it’s worth it.
You can purchase this Matt Stickley original directly from the artist via online means. He’s also done a number of other highly successful pieces and those that have sold have always received rave reviews from either fellow collectors or tattoo enthusiasts. The price tag may put some people off but I think you get what you pay for in these instances. Stickley is a great designer and certainly one of the better painters from the UK. He has a unique style and his Asian Pains paintings will always be something to aspire to.
